Johnson, Rivers, and Kunz named VLK Senior Associates

Last week, Charles Johnson, AIA, Ross Rivers, AIA and Tim Kunz,AIA, NCARB, were named Senior Associates. These individuals have shown a high level of dedicationnot only in their roles as talented architects, but also in their desire to enhance the culture of VLK,andprovide innovative solutions for our clients.

Charles Johnson, AIA, joined VLK in 2005 and quickly became a valuable member of the VLK teamtaking on many responsibilities in the Houston office. He has worn many hats at VLK: Intern/ProjectArchitect/Project Manager/Director ofOperations/Code Specialist/CA/IT specialist/CAD specialist. Hisenormous talent, distinctive skillsets, and willingness to take on new challenges has provided VLK withthe ability to continue to grow the firm. Johnson has proven his leadership capabilities through thementoring of interns and project architects, management of the Houston Office, and continued efforts toimprove communications and procedures.

Ross Rivers, AIA, joined VLK in 1998 as an entry level architectural intern and rapidly becameaccomplished in all aspects of our practice. In 2007, Rivers relocated to Houston where heapplied hisbroad-based understanding of design, construction documents, and construction administration to themanagement of all personnel and the Houston office. In 2013, Rivers returned to the Fort Worth officewhere he has distinguished himself as a Project Manager and Project Director, gaining the trust andconfidence of a wide range of clients and the entire VLK team. Riversis a thought leader who never restswith the status quo.

Tim Kunz, AIA, NCARB, joined VLK in 2006 and applied his passion for architecture by leading teamsin the production of construction documents and by building solidclient relationships. Kunz's thoughtful character and exceptional organizational skills distinguished him as a reliable leader on many of VLKHouston's most challenging projects. Kunz's overriding concern for the development of excellence for all things VLK has vaulted him to his current position asProject Director. He is an ambassador for ouremployees and a cherished advisor to VLK leadership.
