VLK Architects Announces New Principal, Marty Sims

Fort Worth, Texas – VLK Architects is proud to announce Marty Sims has joined the firm as Principal. With extensive experience in the K-12 market, Sims has managed various project types including elementary schools, high schools, CTE centers, stadiums, and natatoriums in the North Texas region. He will serve as Principal-in-Charge for select clients in VLK’s Dallas office.

Sims earned his Bachelor of Architecture from Texas Tech University and jumped right into his career specializing in design of K-12 and higher education facilities. He quickly developed a talent for client and team management, serving as Senior Project Manager and Project Director in his early career.

Sims brings more than 20 years of educational architecture experience including nearly a decade of business management and strategic leadership where he was responsible for financial and performance objectives across multiple offices. Leading four offices across the state managing more than $35M in gross fees, Sims has a proven ability to manage large volumes of projects.
