VLK Architects Promotes Barnes to Associate
Fort Worth, Texas – VLK Architects proudly announces the promotion of Jamie Barnes, AIA to Associate of the firm. To receive this promotion, individuals must be self-motivated and consistently demonstrate the initiative, talent, and commitment of assuming additional responsibilities and leadership roles. They also must show exceptional understanding of the many facets of architectural practice, develop and strengthen relationships with our clients and business associates, guide and enhance the development of staff, and contribute to the advancement of the firm through innovative ideas and efforts.
“One of the cornerstones of VLK is PEOPLE. The people we have the privilege of working with every day as clients and within VLK.” said Sloan Harris, VLK Partner. “The firm thrives because of their collaboration, support of each other, and the constant desire to work as a team to make clients successful. Jamie represents all those things and accomplishes them without question.”
With a Bachelor of Architecture from Texas Tech University, this already recognized leader within the firm has over three decades of experience. A member of the Fort Worth Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, Jamie is responsible for notable projects such as Allen ISD’s STEAM Center and Arlington ISD’s James and Barbara Adams Elementary and the Dan Dipert Career and Technical Center. He has also lead VLK’s responsibilities as Associate Architect in the Globe Life Field project (in coordination with HKS, Inc. as Design Architect and Architect of Record).
