VLK Earns Multiple Recognitions for Growth and Success
In 2018, VLK was recognized among architecture firms by Architectural Record, ENR, and Building Design + Construction.
Building Design + Construction’s annual “Giants 300” report ranks AEC firms by discipline and across more than 20 building sectors and specialty services. For the 2018 report, VLK is ranked 8th among 150 U.S. architecture firms for K-12 work in 2017. In the 2018 report, VLK ranked 49th overall among the largest 149 participating U.S. architecture firms. Data for the Giants 300 report is based on information supplied by participating architecture, engineering, and construction firms. Firms are asked to verify the accuracy of their data.
ENR Texas & Louisiana recognized VLK as a top 50 design firm overall, a top 10 architecture firm and a top five design firm in education. The firm also placed among ENR’s national 2018 Top 500 Design Firms (#414). Furthermore, VLK was recognized by Architectural Record as a 2018 Top 300 Architecture Firm (#106).
Recognized for its growth in recent years, VLK was named one of the Dallas Business Journal’s 2018 Middle Market 50, an award recognizing fast-growing companies in North Texas. The Middle Market 50 includes private and public companies with annual revenue between $25 million and $750 million. The list is ranked by a weighted growth index from 2015 to 2017.
Also in 2018, VLK was recognized by the Zweig Group’s 2018 Hot Firm and Zweig Best Firms to Work For awards. Firms evaluated for the Hot Firm award were based on revenue growth over the last three years in both percentage and dollar growth. For the Best Firms to Work For award, firms were assessed comprehensively on culture, workplace practices, employee benefits, employee retention rates, professional development, and more – both from the management and staff’s perspectives. All recognitions are based on information supplied by the participating architecture, engineering, and construction firms.
