VLK Earns Multiple Recognitions for Growth and Success
VLK Architects’ extraordinary growth has been recognized by a number of leading industry and media outlets this year.
In June, ENR Texas & Louisiana recognized VLK as a top 50 design firm overall, a top 10 architecture firm and a top five design firm in education. The firm also placed among ENR’s national 2018 Top 500 Design Firms (#414). Furthermore, VLK was recognized by Architectural Record as a 2018 Top 300 Architecture Firm (#106).
Recognized for its growth in recent years, VLK was named one of the Dallas Business Journal’s 2018 Middle Market 50, an award recognizing fast-growing companies in North Texas. The Middle Market 50 includes private and public companies with annual revenue between $25 million and $750 million. The list is ranked by a weighted growth index from 2015 to 2017.
Also in 2018, VLK was recognized by the Zweig Group’s 2018 Hot Firm and Zweig Best Firms to Work For awards. Firms evaluated for the Hot Firm award were based on revenue growth over the last three years in both percentage and dollar growth. For the Best Firms to Work For award, firms were assessed comprehensively on culture, workplace practices, employee benefits, employee retention rates, professional development, and more – both from the management and staff’s perspectives. All recognitions are based on information supplied by the participating architecture, engineering, and construction firms.
“We are truly grateful to be recognized by the A/E/C industry and the greater business community,” says VLK Partner Sloan Harris. “Hands down, the secret to our growth is the rapport we build with our clients. It ensures that we understand and deliver precisely what they need, which is evidenced by the dozens of design awards that our projects have earned. The exceptional service and design solutions we provide our clients today are the essential elements to VLK’s bright future.”
In the last three decades, VLK’s facility designs have earned numerous peer recognitions, including 31 design awards from AIA Fort Worth and 77 design awards from the Texas Association of School Administrators, including the 2018 Caudill Award, the highest honor in Texas public school design.
