VLK Names Bouillion as Principal

Fort Worth, Texas- VLK Architects proudly announces the promotion of Dr. Dalane Bouillion to Principal. This announcement is in response to her outstanding achievement in supporting VLK's commitment to connecting instructional philosophy to purposeful design for both current and future educational clients.

'In response to our continued pursuit of providing the highest level of service for all of our clients, we created the role of Educational Planner in 2015 and hired Dr. Dalane Bouillion,' said VLK Principal, Ken Hutchens. 'She possesses an extensive background working at every level for school districts within the State and a vast amount of knowledge of educational practices and policies. We knew that she would make a huge impact on VLK's practice of architecture within the educational sector.'

When she first joined the team as a Senior Associate, Bouillion began working as VLK Architects' Educational Planner, forging a new approach to the practice of educational design. She defined the industry standard for the role of Educational Planner ensuring that VLK's educational designs are grounded in curriculum for the benefit of school districts. With a Doctor of Education from Stephen F. Austin State University, she has worked on notable projects such as the new STEAM Center- Allen ISD, Energy Institute High School- Houston ISD, Career and Technical Center- Arlington ISD, and McClatchey Elementary School- Midlothian ISD. She proudly serves as a board member for the Friends of Texas Public Schools. Other current affiliations include Texas Association of School Administrators, Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, and the Association for Learning Environments. She received the 2011 American Education Research Association/Research on Women and Education's Woman of the Year Curriculum Award.
