The Gateway Towers were conceived as two iconic towers that form a visual reference and symbolic entrance to the Business Bay district. The 3 million SF un-built concept is spread out over four land parcels that are divided by vehicular streets. Each tower has a height of 1,197 SF. The north tower consists of residential apartments while the south tower is a mix of luxury hotel and service apartments. The parking garages to the east service the towers and the street-level retail and townhouses above. All four parcels are interconnected with sky-bridges spanning across the streets.
