Due to the expansion of Interstate 820, Huggins Honda constructed a new building on the same property behind their previous location. The building is situated to make visibility from the newly-constructed highway a priority. The building also serves as a needed expansion of both the showroom and service department featuring a new service garage, two-story parts storage warehouse, and new two-tunnel car wash. The facility includes a two-story showroom and service drive. This dealership is the first in the nation constructed under the Honda Gen 3 Image Program.
VLK Architects proved to be a technically savvy firm when it came to the design of our new dealership. They aided us in the implementation of numerous life cycle cost saving strategies while still giving us the tools to function in our new building. Our new 78-bay service department almost doubles the size of our previous shop, so it was important to have a functional layout to allow our technicians to perform their work properly. VLK displayed their expertise in the arrangement of the shop to provide the most efficient layout for our employees. They also used their experience to help in the phasing of the project to allow it to be constructed on the same site while still occupying our original building.”David El Attrache General Manager
"When considering an architecture firm, l think of several things. Comparable experience, reputation, past client satisfaction, and the ability to be able to handle the job. In working with VLK on our past project, I feel we made the right decision. Sloan, Justin and their team have been a pleasure to work with. It has turned out to be the showcase of Honda Dealerships. Commercially, I have only worked with two different architects. Once with the remodel of our store years ago and recently with the completion of our new dealership. I was very pleased both times and now the first architect, Jim Stephenson, has joined the team of VLK. I would recommend the firm of VLK Architects.”Ron Huggins Executive Manager
