Aledo ISD’s fifth elementary school will feature a variety of learning spaces that support student collaboration and exploration. Robust technology, learning walls, and transparency between the classrooms and the central collaboration areas support all styles of learning and an assortment of student teams. Faculty will benefit from the introduction of grade level and cross grade level planning workrooms. Each classroom is provided with abundant natural light and outdoor views that encourage connection with nature and environmental learning. Flexible classrooms that support STEM curriculum are provided with direct access to outdoor learning areas. The 100,000 sf, two-story building design addresses the natural slope of the site and is the first structure to be built in the Walsh Development that is anticipated to have 580 lots in its first phase.
