As K12 Market Leader, Scott leads the firm’s involvement in public education advocacy and collaborates with firm leaders to enhance VLK’s service strategies for school districts. A recognized K12 authority in Texas with more than 20 years of experience in the architectural services sector, Scott is responsible for leading facility planning efforts for the firm’s K12 projects and clients.
Scott and his wife Leslie founded Friends of Texas Public Schools in 2004, a 501c(3) nonprofit organization committed to educating Texans about the strengths and achievements of Texas public schools. He also recently ran for Texas Lieutenant Governor to champion school districts and advocate for properly funded neighborhood schools.
