Elizabeth Hoggatt Whatley Agricultural Complex

Northeast Texas Community College - Mount Pleasant, TX

A symbol of the college's commitment to the environment and a regional destination for sustainable agriculture education, the building showcases green-building elements throughout. This LEED Platinum and Net-Zero agricultural complex features a solar array and wind turbine providing 100% of the power for the building, while the v-shaped roof collects rainwater for irrigation of the demonstration gardens. Exposed systems and glass-walled mechanical rooms display the building operations to students and visitors.
