VLK Architects Announces New Practice Technology Director, Stephen Olson

VLK Architects is proud to announce Stephen Olson has joined the firm as Practice Technology Director. In this role, Olson will be responsible for managing design technology for the entire firm and lead the firm in innovation and management of hardware and software solutions.

Stephen brings a wealth of knowledge about the industry that will keep VLK at the forefront of innovation and build on the efficiencies in our practice,” said Chief Operations Officer, Justin Hiles. “I look forward to working with him as we continue to build on our recent success.”

Olson earned his both Bachelor and Master of Architecture from University at Buffalo and spent time as an exchange student at Arhus School of Architecture in Denmark. After completing his degrees, he remained active in education serving as a software instructor and adjunct professor of design.

In a career dedicated to process and technology, Olsen served as a Project Architect before moving into roles as BIM Manager, Director of Practice Technologies, and Interim Chief Information Officer. His technological expertise will elevate VLK’s client experience through thoughtful integration of programs and processes.

Olsen will office in Fort Worth but his responsibilities will serve all VLK offices across the state.
