VLK Architects Appoints New Educational Planner

VLK Architects is proud to announce the newest addition to VLK Architects, Dalane Bouillion, Ed.D., as Educational Planner.

Dr. Bouillion comes to VLK with 23 years of experience as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, and Associate Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies, Master of Science in Mid-Management, and Doctor of Education in Secondary Education and Educational Leadership, all degrees achieved at Stephen F. Austin State University.

"I believe that students should be provided meaningful learning environments so that they will volunteer to learn, and engagement can be realized. My plans are to stay true to my educational background by staying abreast of current instructional methodologies, evolving curricula, state standards, and both national and state accountability expectations in order to contribute to the existing reputation of VLK as a leader in designing schools," says Dr. Bouillion. "As a former client of VLK, I have experienced the value that VLK places on the client's needs and how truly listening to the client is an integral philosophy of their business."

Dr. Bouillion's current affiliations include the Texas Association of School Administrators, Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, and the Council of Educational Facilities Planners International. She received the 2011 American Education Research Association/Research on Women and Education's Woman of the Year Curriculum Award.
